Swimming and Diving Falters to Berry in Saturday Dual Meet

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee swimming and diving teams suffered a loss to the Vikings of Berry College in a dual meet Saturday afternoon from the Fowler Center Natatorium.

MEN'S TOP PERFORMERS
-Anthony Carbone earned three wins on Saturday with the 200 freestyle (1:48.26), the 100 breaststroke (1:03.50) and the 200 individual medley (2:02.69).

-James Hoyt took the 1,000 freestyle event with a 10:21.80 mark. Additionally, he finished second in the 200 butterfly (2:04.54) and the 500 free (4:58.48).

-Carl Failing won two events with the 50 freestyle (23.10) and the 100 freestyle (48.34). Additionally, the junior posted a 54.22-second time in the 100 back.

-On the diving boards, Jed Henrichsen won both one-meter dive events, posting 136.80 points in the six dives and 169.00 and the 11 dives.

WOMEN'S TOP PERFORMERS
-Gabby Acker claimed wins in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke, finishing with times of 1:09.79 and 2:30.71, respectively. Additionally, the sophomore swam to a 2:24.48 mark in the 200 IM.

-Kate Mabry won both the 100 backstroke (59.70) and the 200 (2:11.45). The sophomore also finished with a 2:21.32 mark in the 200 individual medley.

-Anna Hawkins Dulaney claimed the top spot in the 100 freestyle with a 59.52-second performance. The Charlotte, N.C. native also competed in the 200 free (2:09.96) and the 50 free (27.93).

-Paisley Simmons won both diving events. In the one-meter, six dives, she scored 178.45 points and 227.90 in the 11 dives event.

-In the 200-yard medley, Isabell Loy, Acker, Mabry and Dulaney swam to a 1:55.82 for second place.

UP NEXT
The Tigers will hit the road next weekend for dual meets at Centre and Transylvania, beginning on Saturday.
