Paisley Simmons - Student-Athlete Career Accolades

Paisley Simmons C'21 enters her second season with the University of the South's swimming and diving team as an assistant. 

Coming off a stellar career on the diving boards, Simmons earned the 2021 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Diver of the Year after winning the one- and three-meter boards at the league's championship meet. Additionally, she was named the program's first female All-American by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

Simmons qualified for the NCAA Diving Regional Championships in each season during her career, and she set all four school records and three of the four records at the Fowler Center Natatorium. 

She is a six-time All-Conference selection, earning four Second Team honors and two First Team laurels. She was also a two-time All-Sportsmanship Team member with the league. 

Away from the diving board, Simmons was Co-President of the Sewanee Multicultural Health Society, Vice President of Kappa Omega, a Pre-Health Ambassador, a member of Sewanee CRU member and an orientation leader. Additionally, she is a Lifetime Girl Scout. 

While competing in the pool at Sewanee, Simmons also spent her summers working as a lifeguard and manager of the Plainview Swim Center for five years and she also served as a Diving Coach at the Plainview Swim Center the last three summers. 

Simmons earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from the University of the South in 2021.
