Women’s Soccer Pulls Away from Agnes Scott, 6-0

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's soccer team, capped by a hat trick by Addie Roemershauser, routed the Scotties of Agnes Scott, 6-0, Saturday afternoon inside Puett Field.

-Sewanee struck the back of the net in the 13th minute as Isabel Washko saw a pass from Mena Kerrison to score.

-In the 32nd minute, Addie Roemershauser saw an opportunity to give Sewanee the 2-0 advantage. After a pass was blocked by an Agnes Scott defender in the box, the freshman saw the keeper also distracted and she scored the second goal.

-Taking 2-0 lead into the locker room, Sewanee made it 3-0 14 seconds in the second half. Bea Richardson found Abbie Kleckley for her first goal of 2019.

-Roemershauser took it from there, as she netted her sixth and seventh goals of the season in the 80th and 86th minutes to complete the hat trick.

-For the match, the Tigers out-shot the visitors, 26-1, with the lone shot by the Scotties coming in the 68th minute.

-Bea Richardson and Addie Roemershauser had seven shots each for the match. Richardson had five on goal, while Roemershauser's three shots on goal all went in the net.

-Abbie Kleckley also scored a goal on four total shots, three on goal.

-Hanna Judycki and Abigail Frazier combined for the clean sheet, with each player playing 45 minutes in goal.

-Megan Selecky had the lone shot for the Scotties.

-Ashley Kopzcyk had eight saves in full time.

Sewanee will now turn its attention to Berry in the Southern Athletic Association opener next Saturday at noon.
