Women’s Soccer Falters Late to W&L

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Sewanee women's soccer team saw three goals by the Washington & Lee Generals in the final 15 minutes of regulation to seal the contest Sunday afternoon from Watt Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Neither team found the back of the net in the first 45 minutes of the match. The Generals had control for most of the half, taking nine shots while allowing four from Sewanee.

-The momentum stayed in favor of the home team, out-shooting the Tigers, 12-2 in the final 45 minutes.

-The scoreless tie was broken in the 77th minute by Lindsay White of W&L. Nearly five minutes later in the 82nd minute, she scored again to seal the match.

-With 1:18 left in the contest, Sophia Roche' added the third goal.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-The Tigers had six shots in the match. Mena Kerrison, Chloe Thompson and Isabel Washko each had a shot on goal.

-Hanna Judycki (1-3-1) saved three shots in full time.

WASHINGTON & LEE KEY STATISTICS
-Lindsay White had two goals on five total shots, three on goal.

-Grace Coombs had three saves and a clean sheet for the Generals.
