EMORY, Va. - The Sewanee women's soccer team recorded its first win of the season with a 4-2, come-from-behind victory over the Wasps of Emory & Henry, Friday night from Fred Selfe Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee had three shot attempts in the first 12 minutes of the match, but it was Isabel Washko who found the back of the net after one of Sewanee's 10 corner kicks.
-The Wasps were able to find the net with less than three minutes remaining in the first half to go into the locker room with a 1-1 score.
-Coming out of the locker room, E&H claimed its first lead of the match. 2:49 in to the second half at the 48th minute, Amber Altice scored her second goal of the contest.
-1:12 later, in the 61st minute, following a Hanna Judycki save, Roemershauser found Washko for the second score of the match and the eventual game-winner.
-In the 73rd minute, off a Giacomini corner, Nika Gorski scored an additional goal to make it 4-2 in favor of the visitors.
-At the half, each team had six shots, but in the final 45 minutes, Sewanee out-shot the home team, 13-4, and they had seven corner kicks.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Bea Richardson had five shots to lead Sewanee, three were on goal.
-Addie Roemershauser had three shots, all on goal, with one finding the back of the net. The freshman also added an assist.
-Abbie Kleckley also had three shots, two on goal.
-Hanna Judycki (1-2-1) had five saves in full time to earn her first win in goal in 2019.
EMORY & HENRY KEY STATISTICS
-Kelci Horner had two shots on goal and four shots overall to lead the Wasps.
-Amber Altice's two goals came on a total of two shots.
-Kaela Schlevensky saved eight shots for E&H in full time.
The Tigers' trip in the Commonwealth of Virginia concludes Sunday afternoon with a match at Washington & Lee.
