Women’s Soccer Earns First Win with Clean Sheet at Maryville

MARYVILLE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's soccer team wrapped up its three-match road swing with 2-0 victory over Maryville Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers opened the scoring early in the 10th minute when Gillian Campbell found Chloe Thompson's free kick for her second goal of the year.

-Taking a 1-0 lead into the second half, Sam Morgan extended the lead in the 52nd minute. After the Scots goalie Abbey Coleman misplayed the ball, Morgan netted the ball in the net.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Sam Morgan took five shots, three on goal, and netted a goal for the Tigers in the win.

-Hanna Judycki (1-5-2) saved two shots in 54 minutes. Abigail Frazier also saved two shots in 36 minutes.

MARYVILLE KEY STATISTICS
-Bailey Sipos took three shots to lead the Scots.

-Abbey Coleman (3-4) saved three shots in full time.

UP NEXT
The Tigers return home for a midweek contest with Wesleyan (Ga.) for 6 p.m. kickoff Wednesday night.
