MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Sewanee women's lacrosse team improved to 4-0 with a 15-2 victory over Augsburg Saturday night inside the Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee sprinted out to a 7-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of the contest. In the span, Kelly Thomsen scored twice.
-After Augsburg scored its first goal with 7:25 left in the opening half, Sewanee finished the period with three more goals, two by Mary Kate Myers, to lead 10-1 at the break.
-Grace Zechman scored two of the team's five goals in the second half.
-Grace Fulton won seven of the team's 11 draw controls and forced four ground balls.
-Brianna Young (2-0) saved one shot in 19:54, as the Tigers goalkeepers limited the Auggies to eight total shots.
-Sewanee finished the night 19-of-20 on clear attempts.
AUGSBURG KEY STATISTICS
-Christina Nelson and Allie Tuccitto each scored a goal for the Auggies.
-Maddie Sevkora (0-1) saved nine shots in full time.
The Tigers will look to wrap up play in Minnesota Sunday with a neutral site matchup against Wisconsin-River Falls.
