No. 23 Women’s Golf in Fourth After 18 Holes at SAA Championships

DICKSON, Tenn. - The No. 23 Sewanee women's golf team are in fourth place after day one of the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Women's Golf Championships from the GreyStone Golf Club.

TOP PERFORMANCES
-Natalie Javadi is five strokes behind Emily Salamy of Rhodes for the top spot with a +6, 79, good for a tie for fifth.

-Margaret Wentz and Sophie Morrill are tied for 18th with identical 84 scores. Wentz recorded a birdie on the first hole, while Morrill chipped in a birdie on eight.

-Caroline Cole fired an 85 in the opening round, and Meghan Symonds scored an 87 to wrap up the team scoring.

-Hunter Farrell scored an 87 as an individualist for the Tigers.

UP NEXT
Round two of the Championships will tee off Saturday morning. Farrell will tee off at 8:33 a.m., while the team will begin at 8:42 a.m.
