DICKSON, Tenn. - For the second time this season, Meghan Symonds wins a tournament, as the Sewanee women's golf team concluded the regular season on Monday hosting the Sewanee Spring Invitational, as the Tigers finished third out of 12 teams at the Greystone Golf Club.

-Meghan Symonds wins her second tournament of the year with a three-over par, 151. The junior chipped in two birdies, and of the 36 holes she played over the two-day tournament, the Cary, N.C. native only bogeyed seven times.
-Despite a two-under, 75 performance by Methodist's Johanna Beehner, Symonds was able to seal the win by one stroke.
-After 18 holes on Sunday, the team was tied for second with Oglethorpe, scoring a 321, and one stroke ahead of Berry. Despite a 319 final round, both Berry and Oglethorpe performed four strokes better with identical 315 scores. The Vikings took the tournament with a 635 score.
The Tigers will host the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Men's and Women's Golf Championships on April 20-22 from Greystone. The women's team will look to repeat as conference champions after winning the event a year ago.
