LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Sewanee women's basketball team suffered a loss in the second day of the LaGrange Classic to Huntingdon, 60-59, Friday afternoon from Maricotti Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers got out to a 19-10 lead after the opening quarter. Tied at 10 with 4:30 left in the period, the Tigers finished the quarter on a 9-0 run thanks to three 3-pointers, two from Katie Roth.
-Early in the second quarter, the Hawks made it interesting as they got the contest to a four-point game, 21-17, with 6:32 left in the half. However, on Sewanee's next possession, Ellie Treanton scored a layup that sparked a Tigers rally, going on a 10-1 run in about a five-minute span. Sewanee led 31-22 at intermission.
-The third period saw the Hawks take off, as they shot 9-of-13 from the floor and outscored the Tigers, 24-12 to take a 46-43 lead into the fourth quarter.
-Sewanee retook the lead, 55-54, with 2:54 left, on a Treanton layup. However, the Hawks regained the lead on their next possession and never let it up.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Kinsley Logan led Sewanee with 12 points and seven boards.
-Lakeisha Phillips dropped 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
-Sue Kim scored 10, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four dimes and steals each.
HUNTINGDON KEY STATISTICS
-T.I. Duncan led all scorers with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting, while Shanica Thomas posted 18 points on 9-of-13 shooting.
Sewanee will wrap up play at the LaGrange Classic Saturday against Pensacola Christian.
