MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Sewanee cross country teams ran on Saturday at the Berry Invitational. The women's team finished ninth out of 22 teams, while the men's team earned seventh place out of 16 teams.

Tricia Murphy paced the Tigers with a 25:50.90 mark, good for 37th place out of 212 runners.

Sarah Carlton earned a personal mark in the 6K, running a 26:07.82 for 48th place. The junior shattered her previous mark of 26:59.2 set a last year's Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championships.

Elizabeth Haberstroh ran to a 26:22.04, while Ann Chapman Haynes finished at 26:30.5 in her first collegiate 6K race.

Other runners include: Alexandra Sherwood (28:02.09), Adrianna Hibarra (28:04.55), Lexy Rouse (28:26.10), Ellie Herron (28:55.02) and Evans Ousley (29:34.3).

On the men's side, Owen Legrone earned his third top-10 finish of the year with a 10th place time of 26:48.1, missing his season mark by 22 seconds in the 8K race.

Bram Atkins upped his mark in an 8K race on Saturday. The freshman finished Saturday with a 28:26.7, a new season mark, finishing in 51st out of 200 runners.

Ben Murray also earned a season-best run a 28:52.2, while Henry Fisher crossed the finish line at 30:03.45.

Other runners include: Rob Mohr (30:21.44), Henry Fields (32:06.89), Rob Ritchie (32:11.06) and Daniel Munoz (32:17.26).

Following a week off, the Tigers will next gear up for the SAA Championships in Atlanta on Oct. 28.
