Davis, Lee, and Emerson earn SAA titles; 12 Tigers earn all-conference honors

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 25, 2015) – Led by 2015 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Champions Ridge Davis, Amy Lee, and Amiel Emerson, the Sewanee track and field teams finished with 12 All-SAA performers during the annual league championships on the campus of Rhodes College this weekend.

After an outstanding spring season, Davis, a sophomore from Arab, Ala., won the men's javlin. Emerson also had an outstanding two days. After joining Davis, Zach Abeles, and Alec Hill on the second place 4X400 men's relay team, Emerson won the men's 800 meters just ahead of Hill who was the runner-up.

Like Emerson, Lee earned a couple of all-conference awards. After earning an SAA Championship in the 1500m, Lee finished third in the women's 800m.

Along with those performances, Amy Nelson added to her all-time awards total with two more all-conference honors. The senior athlete finished second in the hammer and third in the discus.

Finally, sophomore Tyler Fishback added a second-place finish in the high jump.
