Henrichsen Earns Third in One Meter Dive to Open SAA Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The first night of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships, sophomore diver Jed Henrichsen finished the night with third place honors in the one-meter dive on Wednesday night.

-Jed Henrichsen claimed third place honors in the one meter dive, totaling 325.45 points for 16 team points.

-In the 800 free relay, the "A" team of Lee Haber, Andrew Freibert, James Hoyt and Carl Failing swam a 7:03.87 mark for 28 team points.

-The "B"team of the 800 free relay, comprised of Hayden Everett, Kipling Klimas, Owen Pearson and Robert Coles swam to the tune of 7:42.14.

-In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the quartet of Meghan Mulhern, Ashley Kruger, Abby Rapuano and Kate del Balzo finished fourth with a 7:59.35 clip.

-Mary McCarthy, Adelle Dennis, Isabel Kirby and Sarah Stackhouse swam as the "B" Team with an 8:38.23 time.

Day two of the SAA Championships continue on Thursday from the Birmingham CrossPlex.
