SEWANEE, Tenn. - Junior goalkeeper James Murray has been named Tiger of the Week after his performance in Sewanee's 3-0 clean sheet over Guilford.
The Black Mountain, N.C. played the full 90 minutes in goal and added four saves.
The junior, playing 636 minutes in the box this season, improved his conference-leading save percentage to .892, while shrinking his goals-against average to 0.42 per match, also a league-best.
On a national level, Murray is ranked 15th among 200 goalkeepers in goals-against-average and 25th in save percentage.
Murray and the rest of the Tigers return to the pitch Wednesday night with a home match against Emory.
