LONGVIEW, Texas - The Sewanee men's soccer team concluded the weekend in The Lone Star State with back-to-back clean sheets, as the Tigers defeated the YellowJackets of LeTourneau University, 3-0, Saturday night from the LeTourneau Soccer Field.

-Entering the second half with a 1-0 advantage, the Tigers scored in the first three minutes of the half to secure the match.
-In the 47th minute, 1:15 in the period, Tashinga Vhumisai scored his fourth goal of 2019, his third in the last four matches, off a cross from Thompson Scollaert.
-Nearly 90 seconds later in the 48th minute, Schollaert wanted in on the scoring, and after finding Schollaert's pass, he would net his second goal of the year.
-From then on, LETU had eight shots the rest of the half, all were off-target.
-Schollaert and Tashinga Vhumisai each had a goal and assist each in the victory.
-James Murray (4-1-1) played 76 minutes in goal and saved two shots.
LETOURNEAU KEY STATISTICS
-Blaine Wright led the home team with three shots.
-Diego Berlingeri saved one shot in full time.
-The YellowJackets took 13 shots on the match, but only two were on-target.
Sewanee returns home for a season-long eight-match homestand, which begins with a contest against Guilford (N.C.) as a part of Family Weekend on Sept. 21 at 2:30 p.m. from Puett Field.
