
SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee men's basketball continues its season-long four-game homestand with a pre-Thanksgiving contest vs. Piedmont on Tuesday night inside Juhan Gymnasium.

PIEDMONT PREVIEW: Piedmont, who finished with a 4-21 record last season, matched its win total from a year ago so far in 2019-20. The Lions are 4-0 with victories over Toccoa Falls twice, Webster and Johnson.
Before the Lions start play in the USA South, they will have three key tests with contests at Sewanee (11/26), vs. Oglethorpe (12/3) and at Emory (12/7).
Piedmont has recorded top-50 rankings in steals per game (12.5), personal fouls per game (13.8) and turnover margin (6.3).
Four Lions have double-digit averages, led by Jordan Foote with 15 points in 25.3 minutes per game. Additionally, Foote leads the team in rebounds (9.0).
LAST TIME VS. THE LIONS: In Demorest, Ga. last Nov. 13, the Tigers maintained a 41-32 halftime lead to an 80-68 victory.
For the contest, the Tigers shot 43.9% from the field (25-of-57), and they out-rebounded the Lions, 40-29, in the victory.
PIEDMONT ALL-TIME: This will be the 18th meeting all-time between the two schools, and the teams have met at least once since the 2013-14 season.
The Tigers not only hold a 9-8 advantage, but they have won the last four meetings and five of the last six.
CONSISTENT SCORING: In Sewanee's last two games, four players have scored double figures.
Two Tigers are in the top-10 in scoring. Joey Knox is third in the SAA with 17.7 points per game, while Ryan Starr is posted 17.2 points per contest for fourth-most.
Additionally, Adrian Thomas (12.3) and Jordan Warlick (12.2) are averaging in double figures for Sewanee.
