SEWANEE, Tenn. - Junior defensive back Wesley Porter has been selected as the Tiger of the Week following his performance in the 66th Orgill Cup this past Saturday in Memphis.
The Salisbury, N.C. native blocked a 22-yard field goal late in the first quarter and he added seven tackles.
On special teams, he recorded five punt and kick returns for a total of 106 yards. On punts, he averaged 19 yards per return, and on kickoffs, he posted a 24.5-yard average.
Porter and the rest of the Tigers return to the gridiron Saturday afternoon at Historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium to take on No. 10/8 Berry. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
