Box Score CONWAY, Ark. (Sept. 29, 2012) – Despite even fairly offensive statistics, the Sewanee field hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision at Southern Athletic Association (SAA) foe Hendrix, Saturday, at Warrior Field.
After Hendrix got on the board with a goal by Lotte Kraaijenbrink, Sewanee tied the match when Molly Kennedy scored off an assist by Tilden Davis.
Unfortunately, the Warriors answered back with goals by Maggie DesPain and Erika Jasso.
Overall, Hendrix held a brief 11-10 advantage in shots, while the Tigers had an 11-8 edge in penalty corners.
Individually, Kennedy led all players with six shot attempts. Additionally, senior goalkeeper Anna Morrow finished with a game-high six saves.
The Tigers continue conference action with an 11:00 a.m., match at rival Rhodes, Sunday.
