CONWAY, Ark. (Oct. 28, 2011) – Facing a Hendrix team that had one of its best offensive performances of the season, the Sewanee field hockey team fell 3-0 Friday night at Warrior Field.
With the loss, Sewanee falls to 5-8 overall and 1-4 in the SCAC.
After opening a 1-0 lead at the half, Hendrix continued to dominate in the second period after the Warriors got goals from Kelly Rappe and Erika Jasso.
Overall, Hendrix outshot the Tigers by a 16-2 mark, in addition to holding a 14-3 advantage in penalty corners.
Leading the charge for Sewanee was Tilden Davis and senior Elise Landau who had one shot each.
Sewanee will look to rebound quickly as the Tigers take on SCAC rival Rhodes at noon Sunday. Rhodes and Sewanee have met once this season, with the Lynx winning by a 4-1 edge October 2nd.
