Sewanee Men's Soccer Shuts Out Colorado College

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee hosted Colorado College to open its final home stand of the 2008 season and shut out the visiting team 1-0 after going into halftime locked in a scoreless battle. Colorado College is ranked \#5 in the West Region by the NSCAA for the final regional poll.

Sewanee senior Bryce Sealander (Madison, Va., Madison) scored Sewanee's lone goal off of a Patrick Johnson (Cleveland, Tenn., McCallie) assist in the 72nd minute of play. Sewanee outshot Colorado College 10-7 on the night.

Sewanee freshman Matt Hale (Ft. Worth, Texas, All Saints) earned the shutout in goal and grabbed four saves. Brian Engle had two saves for Colorado.

Sewanee is now 5-11-1 and is 2-6-1 in the SCAC. The Tigers will host Austin College on Sunday morning and will honor Sewanee's seniors before the game.
