Four-year letterwinner in football from 1960-1963… Sewanee never had a losing season from 1960-63 with a combined record of 21-8-3… was an alternate captain on the 1963 Sewanee Athletics Hall of Fame football team that finished 8-0 and outscored its opponents 275-45… led Sewanee in kickoff returns and interceptions in 1963… was tied for the team lead in punt returns in 1963 and rushing touchdowns in 1961… led the Tigers in rushing touchdowns and scoring in 1960…son of legendary Sewanee Head Coach and Hall of Fame member Shirley Majors… coached under his father at Sewanee as an assistant from 1970-77… was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 1966.
