The University of the South

The 1953-54 cross-country teams were undefeated and untied, earning wins over Maryville (2), Bryan (2), Tennessee Tech, Tusculum, Berea, Oglethorpe, and Emory. Members of the teams included Doug Crane, Don Crane, Kent Rea, Ken Barrett, George Pope, Jim Bradner, Ed McHenry, Bob Marsdarf, John Morrow, Harvey Koch, Ralph Patston, Bill Buchly, Art Worrall and Stetson Fleming. Both teams were coached by Earl Shotwell.
