MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Sewanee volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep of Rhodes Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first set was played evenly between the two teams, as each squad had 15 kills. Sewanee had two errors for a .419 attack percentage, while Rhodes clipped a .353 percentage.
-Trailing 17-12, Rhodes got the opening set to as low as a three-point deficit, but the Tigers held off the Lynx, 25-21.
-From there, the momentum stayed with Sewanee, taking the next two sets, 25-18 and 25-16 to secure the match. Sewanee recorded 30 kills to Rhodes' 23.
-After surpassing the most conference win total in the SAA-era (since 2012) on Thursday, Sewanee will finish conference play with a better than .500 record for the first time in SAA history and the first time since 1997.
-With Sewanee's 18th victory on Saturday, the Tigers have recorded the third-most wins in program history, dating back to 1991. With one more match in the regular season and the upcoming SAA Tournament, Sewanee will look to achieve a 20-win season for the first time since 1999.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Ellie Pedersen recorded 14.5 points on Saturday with 13 kills on 15 attacks with no errors. She also assisted on three blocks.
-Peyton Parent added 14 digs for the winners, as the team recorded a .379 (45-9-95) attack percentage.
RHODES KEY STATISTICS
-Kelsey Glasper and Camila Zimmerman each had 10 kills for Rhodes.
The regular season finale for Sewanee happens on Sunday with a trip to Hendrix.
