Volleyball Suffers Setback in Sunday Afternoon Contest

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Sewanee volleyball team dropped a Southern Athletic Association match to the Panthers of Birmingham-Southern in straight sets Sunday afternoon at the Bill Battle Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-BSC recorded a .241 attack percentage for the match with 39 kills and 13 errors.

-Playing in its third match in as many days, Sewanee recorded a .062 attack percentage for the match.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Peyton Parent recorded 18 digs to lead the Tigers, while Destiny Stewart notched eight kills.

-Constance Connolly tallied 23 assists, and Ellie Pedersen assisted on four blocks.

-Stephanie Price tallied six kills and blocked three opposing attacks.

BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN KEY STATISTICS
-Jeneva Salter totaled 12.5 points on 11 kills and three assisted blocks.

-Caroline Johnson recorded 24 digs, while Marjorie Ward killed 10 attacks.
