Sewanee's offense struggles in 3-0 loss at BSC

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 17, 2015) – A strong defensive performance by Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Birmingham-Southern led the Panthers to a 3-0 win over the Sewanee volleyball team, Saturday, inside Bill Battle Coliseum.

The Panthers limited Sewanee's attack percentage to .042 while no Tiger reached double-digit kills. BSC won the match with set wins at 25-10, 25-16, and 25-16.

Jeneva Salter led all players for BSC with a match-high 15 kills. Laura Van Peursem also finished in double digits with 10 successful attacks. Sewanee's lone bright spot was the play of libero Sara Jayne Sutton, who finished with 24 digs.

The Tigers will play their final road regular season match on Saturday at Millsaps. The Majors welcome the Tigers for a noon contest inside the Hangar Dome.
