Sewanee Track and Field Competes at Emory

ATLANTA - The Sewanee track and field teams competed over the weekend at the Emory Invitational.

WOMEN TOP PERFORMERS
-Karagan Day finished 9th in javelin, throwing 29.81 meters. Despite the performance on Saturday, she is ranked fourth in the South/Southeast region.

-Meredith Stuber earned season bests in both the high jump (1.45 meters) and the long jump (4.87 meters).

MEN TOP PERFORMERS
-With his fifth place finish in the 800 meters, Ash Midyett moves to seventh in the region with a 1:56.89 time. It is a season-best for the sophomore, as he missed his career mark by 1.37 seconds.

-Elijah Brooks-Davis finished 11th in shot put, clearing 12.53 meters. A season-best for the senior, he is now 27th in the region.

-Calid Shorter sprinted to a 20th-place finish time of 11.29 seconds in the 100-meter dash.
