No. 30 Women’s Tennis Defeats Majors, 5-1, in SAA Semifinals

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's tennis team, ranked 30th in the nation, advanced to its seventh straight Southern Athletic Association Women's Tennis Tournament final with a 5-1 win over Millsaps College Saturday afternoon from the Adams Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers earned two of three wins in doubles play, winning at the No. 1 and No. 3 flights.

-Despite losing a set in doubles, that did not fluster Sewanee, as the Tigers won three singles contests to clinch the match. Ellie Czura took down Maggie Dabadie at the No. 2, 6-0, 6-1.

-The women's team have won 20 consecutive matches in the SAA Tournament, as the program has never lost in the seven years in the postseason event.
