ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association has announced on Monday the 2018 SAA Women's Soccer All-Conference awards. Sewanee Women's Soccer has landed three student-athletes on the list.
Fahr finished her first year with Sewanee with five points thanks to two goals and an assist. The match of her season came against Birmingham-Southern on Oct. 12. After getting the Tigers to an early 1-0 lead in the eighth minute, the Baltimore, Md. native helped score the game-winner by Nika Gorski in overtime.
Rupp concluded her first season with Sewanee with five assists and a goal for seven points. The East Windsor, N.J. native finished fifth in the conference in assists. She assisted on separate goals in the Tigers' 4-0 win over the Wolves of Wesleyan (Ga.).
Williams ends her four-year career with the Tigers with her first All-Conference nod. Playing everywhere in the field during her tenure, from forward, to defender, to even goalkeeper, the Chattanooga, Tenn. native scored one goal. For her career, she netted 10 goals and assisted on four for a .154 shooting percentage.
The Tigers concluded 2018 with a 6-11-2 record, but the Tigers rallied in the second half of the season, winning six of the final 10 matches after starting 0-7-2.
