SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's soccer team gears up for a trip to Conway, Ark. to face off with the Warriors of Hendrix College in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Women's Soccer Championship.

THIRD CRACK AT IT: Sewanee and Hendrix will meet for the third time in the seven-year existence of the Southern Athletic Association. Sewanee is 1-0-1 against Hendrix, with both contests coming in the quarterfinal round. With both matches going into double overtime, Sewanee won 2-1 in the 2014 matchup with a 106th-minute goal.
In the second matchup two years later, the teams went to a shootout. The match resulted in a 1-1 draw, but Sewanee won 4-2 on penalty kicks to advance to the semifinals.
WORKING OVERTIME: In six of the last eight meetings, regular and postseason, the teams were not only forced to go to overtime but double overtime. The Tigers are 3-1-2 in those contests. The teams have gone to the second overtime in four straight meetings.
FRESHMEN KEEPERS: The duo of Hanna Judycki and Abigail Frazier have combined to save 63 shots and posted four shutouts. Judycki, recording 1,280 minutes in goal, earned one shutout with a 1-0 win over Oglethorpe on Sept. 29.
MOMENTUM GOING INTO THE SECOND SEASON: With a young squad and a challenging schedule, the women's soccer program, through its first nine matches, were 0-7-2. Since then, Sewanee has found the momentum, winning six of their final nine matches, including an overtime win against Birmingham-Southern on Oct. 12.
