Women’s Soccer Completes Non-Conference Slate with 1-0 Win over MUW

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's soccer team completed a 1-0 win over the Mississippi University for Women Tuesday night from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-With less than five minutes left in the opening half, Sam Morgan scored her fourth goal of the season with an unassisted goal.

-The match saw Sewanee take 10 shots to MUW's five.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Sam Morgan, Kiera Giacomini, Carter Cooper and Paige Rupp each shot twice for the winners.

-Abigail Frazier (1-2) saved one shot in the first half, and thanks to Hanna Judycki's scoreless second half, the duo finished with a clean sheet.

MUW KEY STATISTICS
-Caroline Grafe and Britain Welzien each took two shots. Welzien's shots were on goal.

-Sarah Gilliland (1-10) saved three shots in full time.
