Sewanee and N.C. Wesleyan End in Draw

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Sewanee Tigers fought 110 minutes with N.C. Wesleyan, but nothing was settled in the contest, ending in a scoreless draw.

Mary "Sissy" Frank attempted a shot in the 85th minute in regulation, but the teams would head into overtime scoreless.

The Tigers took two shots in the overtime period, one by Frank (93') and the other by Elizabeth McKnight (96'), while the Battling Bishops took one shot in the 98th minute.

In the second overtime, N.C. Wesleyan took and missed four shots. Two of the four shots were saved by Samantha Bourgeois (0-1-1), who finished with nine saves.

Up next, the Tigers will compete with Maryville in their home opener. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Puett Field.
