Sewanee falls in NCAA Tournament against Chicago, 3-0

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Nov. 14, 2015) – Despite playing hard, the Sewanee women's soccer team lost its first-round NCAA Tournament match against Chicago, 3-0, Saturday, on the campus of Thomas More.

Despite the loss, Sewanee finished the season with an 11-4-3 overall record. During the regular season, the Tigers earned a share of their first-ever Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Regular Season Championship. The Maroons wasted little getting on the board, as Julia Ozello ripped in a shot a minute and a half in the game.

The score remained at 1-0 until Chicago added two late scores. Kaitlin Price netted a goal from Mia Calamari in the 53rd while Lilly Wolfenzon scored from Kelsey Moore in the 88th.

Overall, the Maroons outshot the Tigers 22 -4. Sewanee senior keeper Olivia Glascoe finished with 11 saves while Katie Morrison paced the offense with three shots.
