SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 23, 2015) – A second-half goal by Tyler Edell helped the Sewanee women's soccer team close out the regular season with a 1-0 win over Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Berry, Friday, at Puett Field.
The Tigers finish the regular season with a 10-3-2 overall record and a 6-0-1 mark in SAA play. With the victory, the Tigers clinched at least a share of their first-ever SAA Regular Season Championship.

In fact, Edell now leads Sewanee with seven goals, including in the past two matches.
Overall, Sewanee finished the second half with seven shots while limiting Berry to just two attempts.
The Tigers will now wait to see who they host in the SAA quarterfinals on October 31st.
Currently, Sewanee leads Centre in the conference standings by a half game. The Colonels and Vikings are scheduled to play, Sunday.
