Tigers Extend Winning Streak to Four with 14-1 Victory of Piedmont

DEMOREST, Ga. - Sewanee women's lacrosse defeated Piedmont College 14-1 to extend their winning streak to four games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers started the contest with a 6-0 run before the Lions were able to net a goal. Of their first six goals, two were man down for Sewanee.

-Leading 8-1 at the break, Sewanee shut out the home team, 6-0, and only allowed 10 shots for the match.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Mary Kate Myers recorded a hat trick on six total shots to lead Sewanee.

-Kit Sommi, Brooke Winfield and Catherine Crigler netted two goals apiece.

-Winfield caused four turnovers and scooped up four groundballs.

-As a team, Sewanee limited the turnover game, recording 15 while forcing 35 on Piedmont.

PIEDMONT KEY STATISTICS
-Caitlin O'Brien tallied the lone goal for Piedmont.
