Fulton and Young named IWLCA

SEWANEE, Tenn. (May 12, 2017) – Sewanee women's lacrosse student-athletes Grace Fulton and Brianna Young have been named Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Region the IWLCA released, Friday.

Fulton was named to the IWLCA All-Region First-Team while Young was honored with a spot of the IWLCA Second-Team. 

Fulton was great on the backline. In her second season, she finished third in groundballs (66) and ninth in caused turnovers (25).

Young was outstanding for the Tigers. In 747:38 minutes in goal, she led the league in save percentage (61.4) and games played (18). She ranked second in goals against average (7.22), wins (13), and winning percentage (76.5).

Additionally, Young finished with 143 saves and allowed only 90 goals. She joins Alexis Crittenden (2013) as the only Tigers to win the SAA Defensive Player of the Year award.
