Sewanee rolls past Millsaps, 20-0

JACKSON, Miss. (April 8, 2017) – The Sewanee women's lacrosse team hammered Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Millsaps 20-0, Saturday.

The Tigers are now 11-3 overall and 4-1 in SAA play. Sewanee still controls its own destiny in the SAA regular season championship hunt.

Sewanee scored 14 goals in the first half and six goals in the second.

Overall, Catherine Crigler scored four times, while Molly Elkins and Kelly Thomsen added three goals. Alden Woolford and Mary Kate Myers added two goals while Preston Cooper, Brooke Winfield, Cait Kaffl, Grace Zechman, Phoebe Stirm, and Kit Sommi also scored.

In goal, Crawford Horan and Brianna Young combined for two saves. As a team, Sewanee forced 17 turnovers.

The Tigers return to action with a 5:00 p.m. non-conference match against Piedmont, Monday.
