Women’s Golf Remains at 25th in Latest WGCA Coaches Poll

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The Sewanee women's golf team remains at 25th in the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association Coaches Poll, the WGCA announced on Friday.

The Tigers finished 12th at the Jekyll Island Collegiate last month with a 989 (324-338-327). Natalie Javadi led the Purple and Gold with a 242 (79-80-83) in the 54-hole tournament, good for 34th place.

Sewanee's Hunter Farrell competed as an individualist at the Piedmont College Spring Invitational on April 2. The freshman fired a 182 (92-90) for a 33rd place finish.

Rhodes (5), Berry (15) and Oglethorpe (18) join Sewanee in the top 25. Birmingham-Southern received votes in the latest poll.

The Tigers return to the links next week with the BSC Southern Shootout. The opening round begins Monday.
