Women’s Golf Moves Up Three Spots to 17th in Latest WGCA Coaches Poll

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The Sewanee women's golf team slid up three spots to No. 17 in the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches Poll, announced by the WGCA on Monday.

The Tigers competed in one event in the month of September at the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Ala. The Tigers finished fourth, ahead of Rhodes, Washington & Lee and Berry.

From the Southern Athletic Association: Rhodes jumped to the Top 10 with a No. 6 ranking, followed by Berry (10th) and Birmingham-Southern (21st). Oglethorpe and Centre received votes.

Sewanee will next compete at the Generals Invitational next week in Lexington, Va., hosted by No. 15 Washington & Lee.
