MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Sewanee women's golf team, ranked No. 20 in the coaches preseason poll, finished in fourth place out of eight teams at the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate to start the season.

TOP PERFORMANCES
-Natalie Javadi and Meghan Symonds led the way with similar scores of 155 and a tie for 14th. Javadi, who entered the day tied for 26th, shot a 74 in the final round.

-Caroline Cole fired a 157, while Mary Elizabeth Benton shot a 160.

-Sarah Battye scored a 162, and Sophie Morrill chipped in a 163 in the 36-hole event.

-Margaret Wentz, who chipped in two eagles over the weekend, finished with a 164.

-Other finishes include Corinne Parrish (168) and Hunter Farrell (173).

-Rhodes took home the team championship with a 603, and Centre's Bailey Plourde (144 | 71-73) earned medalist honors.
