ATLANTA - The Sewanee women's basketball team fell to the Eagles of Emory, 72-52, Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Thanks to Lakeisha Phillips scoring the first two field goals of the game, Sewanee held an early 5-4 lead with less than six minutes left in the opening period.

-However, that would not last, as the Eagles held Sewanee scoreless for the remainder of the period and the first two minutes of the second quarter. The home team went on a 15-0 run during the span. From there, the game was in control of Emory.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Sue Kim led all scorers with 15 points and five boards.

-Kinsley Logan drained 12 points, while Ellie Treanton scored eight and corralled six boards.

EMORY KEY STATISTICS
-Ashley Oldshue scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting to lead the Eagles.
