LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Sewanee women's basketball team wrapped up the LaGrange Classic on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Eagles of Pensacola Christian, 60-46, to finish the tournament 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee saw themselves down early, as they trailed 15-9 after the opening quarter.
-Trailing 21-12 with less than six minutes in the second quarter, the Purple and Gold gained the lead thanks to a 12-2 run to take the 24-23 advantage into the locker room.
-The Tigers shot 4-of-24 (16.6 percent) until late in the half, as they made four of their final eight shots.
-In the third quarter, despite PCC making 5-of-11 from the field, it was the Tigers' 5-of-6 from the charity stripe that helped even the score in the frame with 14 points, as Sewanee held the 38-37 lead.
-In the fourth quarter, the Tigers' 12-2 run in the final seven minutes secured the victory.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Kinsley Logan led Sewanee scorers with 15 points, with all her points coming from downtown.
-Sue Kim scored seven points and collected six rebounds, five assists and four steals.
PENSACOLA CHRISTIAN KEY STATISTICS
-Lauran Alvarez scored 16 points off the bench on 5-of-7 shooting and 4-of-5 from 3-point range.
Sewanee returns home for a pre-Thanksgiving showdown with Maryville. Tip is scheduled for Tuesday night at 6 p.m. inside Juhan Gymnasium.
