ATLANTA - Senior shooting guard Hannah McCormack has been named the Southern Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week after her performance in the gym over the weekend.
The Knoxville, Tenn. native finished the week averaging 21.5 points per game and shooting 56 percent (18-of-32) from the field. She totaled 13 rebounds and four assists.
On Senior Night, the Knoxville, Tenn. native became the 15th Sewanee women's basketball player to surpass the 1,000-point mark with a jump shot in the second quarter. She finished the contest with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting.
Against Berry, McCormack shot 47 percent from the field en route to a 21-point performance in the Tigers' 83-65 victory over the Vikings.
McCormack is second in the SAA in scoring with 17.1 points per game and is sixth in the league in field goal percentage (45.1 percent).
McCormack and the rest of the Tigers wrap up the regular season on Saturday with a road matchup against Centre.
