SEWANEE, Tenn. - Senior guard Hannah McCormack has been named the Tiger of the Week after her performances on the hardwood last week against Emory and Centre.
Hannah McCormack helped the Tigers rally late to give Centre a scare in the conference opener. The senior scored 27 points, missing her career mark of 28 set her freshman year on 10-of-18 shooting, including 3-of-4 from downtown.
In the overtime contest with Emory, McCormack scored 16 points in 37 minutes, grabbed five rebounds, five steals and three steals.
On the week, McCormack shot 17-of-35 from the field (48.6 percent), 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, scored 43 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
McCormack and the rest of the Tigers are back in action Tuesday night with a trip to Berea. Sewanee will return to Juhan to wrap up the 2017 portion of the schedule Dec. 29 and 30 with the Sewanee Holiday Classic. Sewanee will face Wooster on Friday at 5 p.m., and then they will battle with Covenant on Saturday at 3 p.m.
