CLERMONT, Fla. - After rain and storms canceled action on Tuesday, Sewanee softball wrapped up their spring break trip in Florida on Wednesday with contests against Oberlin (Ohio) and Carleton (Minn.), falling 1-0 and 13-0, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED, OBERLIN
-After four no-hit innings by Jackie O'Reilly, Oberlin recorded a single to lead off the bottom of the fifth. After a sacrifice bunt and a groundout to put the runner at third, Oberlin was down to their final out of the inning. However, the Tigers defense held strong with a groundout to Charlsey Shirey at shortstop.
-The Tigers recorded hits in the sixth and seventh innings, but the runners were stranded on base.
-With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Oberlin had four straight batters reach base with one out to walk off.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Taylor Wagner each recorded two of Sewanee's three hits in the contest.
-Caroline Sweetin laced a triple and drew two walks.
-Jackie O'Reilly (4-9) allowed the unearned, go-ahead run in 6.1 innings on two hits.
OBERLIN KEY STATISTICS
-Dana Rae Goldstein brought the winning run home on by reaching base on an error.
-Emily Tucci (2-3) tossed a complete game shutout for the Yeowomen. She allowed three hits and walks each, while fanning eight batters.
HOW IT HAPPENED, CARLETON
-In the Tigers' second game of the day and the final game of the trip in the Sunshine State, the Knights scored runs in each inning except the third.
-Sewanee only recorded two hits for the contest.
-Caroline Sweetin (0-6) allowed five earned runs on seven hits in three innings.
CARLETON KEY STATISTICS
-Katie Eppard went 3-for-4 with five RBI in the contest.
-Maddie Sherwood (2-1) allowed two hits in a shutout performance for the Knights.
Sewanee returns to Tennessee this weekend, but they will travel to Memphis to resume Southern Athletic Association play with Rhodes on Saturday. Sewanee will return home on March 27 for an eight-game homestand.
