Men’s cross country ranked sixth South/Southeast USTFCCCA Region

SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2016)  After its win at Berry on Saturday, the Sewanee men's cross country team is currently ranked sixth in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South/Southeast Regional poll.

The Tigers are ranked sixth just behind Lynchburg. Emory leads the region while Christopher Newport, Washington & Lee, and Rhodes close out the top-four. Trinity (Texas), Mary Washington, Roanoke, and Bridgewater are the teams behind Sewanee.

This fall, Sewanee won the Berry Invitational, finished as the top NCAA Division III team at the UAH Invitational, second at the NCAA Division I APSU Invitational, seventh at the UTC PowerAde Invitational, and won the Sewanee Mountaintop Invitational.
