INVITED TEAMS:  Berry, Birmingham Southern, Emory, Oglethorpe, Sewanee

FACILITY LOCATION:  The Fowler Center is located at 77 Texas Avenue in Sewanee, TN, 37375.

ENTRIES:  All entries will be conducted through the Direct Athletics web site:  http://www.directathletics.com

ENTRY DEADLINE:  All entries are due by Tuesday, February 12th, at 11:59 p.m..

ENTRY FEE:  $200 per team ($400 for men and women), $25 per individual (note: this is an entry fee, not a participation fee ... fees will be based on entry numbers)

ENTRY LIMITATIONS:  Due to the size restrictions of our facility, entries in the long jump, triple jump, 200m and 400m will be limited to four athletes per gender.

PERFORMANCE LIST:  After entries are received, a performance list will be posted on this page.  Heat sheets will be available at event check-in.

MEET PACKETS:  Team and individual meet packets will be available Saturday morning at the scorer's table on the inside of the track oval.

SPIKES:    Athletes may use 1/8 or 1/4 inch pyramid spikes only.  Pin spikes will not be allowed.  If an athlete is found using pin spikes or spikes longer than 1/4 inch, he/she will be disqualified from the meet.  No spikes will be allowed on the smooth surface inside the track oval.

TIMING:    Fully automatic Hytek Timing System by Exact Timing

LONG JUMP/TRIPLE JUMP:  The Fowler Center indoor track and field facility has one long jump/triple jump runway and pit.  To expedite the completion of this event in a timely manner, we will limit the jumpers to 4 jumps each and no finals (NCAA TNF Rule 6, Section 3, Article 1).

RULES:    The meet will be conducted under NCAA rules.

SCORING:    Team scores will be calculated according to NCAA rules.

STARTING HEIGHTS:    High Jump:  Women - 1.35m(4’ 5”), Men - 1.65m(5’ 5”)

Pole Vault:  Women - 2.15m(7’ 1/2”), Men - 3.05m(10').  Per NCAA rules, bars will be raised by 5 centimeters in the high jump and 15 centimeters in the pole vault.

LOCKER ROOMS:            Locker rooms and showers are available in the Fowler Center. Please bring your own towels.  The University of the South is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

TRAINERS:    Trainers and training facilities will be available in the Fowler Center.  Please bring your own supplies if possible.

FOOD:    The dining halls are available for team or individual meals.  Please call Sewanee Dining at 931/598-1120 to make arrangements for team meals.

WEIGH IN:    All shots and weights must be weighed in at the scorer's table between 8:00 -10:00 a.m..

WEIGHT THROW:  With the recent purchase of an indoor throwing cage, the weight throw will now be contested indoors.

PARKING:  Team vans can be parked at the lots in front and on the side of the Fowler Center.  If these lots are full, team vans may travel past the Fowler Center and park at the outdoor track and field facility parking area on Florida Avenue.  Buses should park in the coned spots on Texas Avenue, or along the road on University Avenue.  Loading and unloading on Texas Avenue is not allowed by order of the Sewanee Police Department and will result in a ticket and fine.
