MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 8, 2017) – A number of Sewanee track and field student-athletes set new personal records, Saturday, at the Rhodes Invitational.
Will DuBose finished second in the men's pole vault with a new PR of 4.00 meters. Isabel Smith also finished in the top-three in the pole vault as she posted a new PR of 2.43 in the women's competition.
In addition to those performances, Karagan Day finished second the women's javelin with a toss of 35.95 meters.
Additionally, Miles Martin performed well as his time of 17.83 seconds put him second in the 110-meter hurdles. Meredith Stuber finished fifth in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.47 seconds.
Sewanee will host its annual Mountain Laurel Invitational on Friday at Coughlan Track. The first event is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
