No. 22 Tigers head to Emory for the NCAA Regional

SEWANEE, Tenn. (May 8, 2017) – The No. 22 ranked Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Regular Season and Tournament Champion Sewanee men's tennis team earned a berth into the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament, Monday.

The Tigers will travel to the Atlanta Regional hosted by rival No. 2 Emory University.

Sewanee will open with a second-round match against long-time rival No. 29 Washington & Lee on Saturday. No. 32 N.C. Wesleyan will take on Thomas More in the first-round on Friday with the winner advancing to face the host Eagles on Saturday.

This will be the fourth straight season Sewanee has played in the NCAA Tournament. This spring, Sewanee is 18-6 overall. The Tigers did defeat the Generals earlier this season by a score of 5-4.
