Men’s tennis opens SAA Tournament with 9-0 win against Hendrix

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (April 25, 2014) – The Sewanee men's tennis team opened its title defense of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament with a 9-0 win against Hendrix, Friday, at Old Fort Tennis Complex.

Sewanee has now won 18 straight SAA contests.

After winning all three doubles points by a combined score of 24-5, Sewanee swept all six singles matches.

That includes straight set wins by Avery Schober, Connor Winkler, Eric Roddy, Alex Cooper, Sean Laughlin, and Scott Gallimore.

The Tigers will now take on rival Rhodes at noon on Saturday.
