Tigers sweep Berry, 5-0

ROME, Ga. (March 29, 2014) – The Sewanee men's tennis team swept Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Berry 5-0, Saturday.

Dating back to last season, the Tigers have won 12 straight conference matches.

No. 1 singles player Avery Schober defeated Inigo Flores by a score of 6-1, 6-4 while Rand Jackson topped Seth Taylor at No. 2 by a pair of 6-1 set wins.

At No. 3, Eric Roddy defeated Michael Walker 6-1, 6-1. Scott Gallimore then pushed the Tiger lead to 4-0 with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win over Daniel Alligood.

Finally, Blake Wilde defeated Jake Pullen at No. 6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2).

The Tigers continue SAA play with a 2:00 p.m. match at Oglethorpe, Sunday.
